was raised on a mixed cash crop and beef farm near Prince Albert, SK. He has a BSA from the University of Saskatchewan and worked for nearly 30 years for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
He began training farmers on computer software in 1986 and has run an independent computer consulting business for the past sixteen years.
Howard moved back “home” to Saskatchewan in 2010 and is pleased to be once again enjoying the character-building Saskatoon winters.
Howard’s oldest daughter, Pamela, grew up in eastern Ontario, graduated with an Honours BA in English and Classics from Bishop’s University in Quebec, and moved to Saskatoon in the mid-90s in pursuit of an MA in English.
She then obtained a PhD from the U of S with a dissertation on Scottish Women’s Writing, 1570-1700. She has taught many sections of English 110, English 113 (Reading Narrative), and English 114 (Detective Fiction); two senior-level classes on Medieval and Renaissance Scottish Literature; and twelve tutorials for Business Communications 100.
From 2006-16, Pamela has been the Director of Advancement Services for Lutheran Theological Seminary Saskatoon, where she was in charge of Communications, Fundraising, Events, Recruitment, and Information Technology. Currently, she helps faith-based organizations with fundraising and communications through Faithful Servant Consulting.
